International Women's Day is a celebration of the women in this world. Past, present and future. However, without bravery, action and challenging what is in front of us there can be no change and no success in bringing gender equality. So this year International Women's Day is about raising this awareness.

We would love to help raise a awareness of this statement by focussing on plastic-free periods. A reminder of the long battle in banning taxes on period products because of the people that were brave enough to challenge it! However, although part of this battle has been won - unfortunately, there is still a little way to go!

So how about it - do you fancy a challenge? Read more information in our blog post below on how you can help!

A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So let's all #choosetochallenge.

The Period Product Tax Has Finally Been Scrapped! What now?

Reusable period PANTS are still taxed at 20% as they are not deemed to be designed solely for your menstrual flow, which is ridiculous. Help us challenge this unfair and unsustainable outcome! 👊

Find your MP

Email your MP. Use this template.

Ask your MP to write to the HM treasury to update the VAT categories for menstrual products and recognise period pants as one of the menstrual products and make sustainable periods 20% cheaper.

Use the template above and make sure you write your full name and address. The MPs are more likely to response if you put your full name and address. Please only email to your MP of your constituency.

Help us to spread the word!

Shop Plastic Free Periods

By choosing a plastic free period you are proving that reusable period products are a necessity for your period, but also for this world.

Did you know, disposable sanitary ware accounts for 200,000 tonnes of land fill per year in the UK and the average woman will use over 11,000 disposable, one-time-use menstrual products in her reproductive lifetime.

We are doubling our donations this week for International Women's Day!

Donate a Plastic Free Period Product this week via our website to A Bloody Good Period who distribute to over 40 asylum seekers shelters in the UK.
