Hellooooo compostable sponges!
Pack of 2 ergonomic, biodegradable and reusable kitchen sponges.
Made from wood pulp (plant cellulose), these sponges by Zero Waste Club absorb 10x their dry weight. Perfect for your kitchen and bathroom, they are an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional sponges which are made from plastic.
Did you know, the sponge you typically use everyday contains micro plastic? Conventional sponges are made from polyester and nylon which are not recyclable. Small pieces fall off on almost every wash, washing straight down our drains into our water systems. These micro plastics then stay in the water forever and can make their way into rivers and oceans, either being digested by marine life or being drank by humans. Microplastics are already in our water so let's stop this madness.
- Each sponge: 115 (l) x 65 (w) x 30 (h) mm

Simply throw the sponge at your best friends head. Long as the sponge lands on a patch of grass, it will biodegrade. If you want to speed up the breaking down of the sponge, simply bury it underground or put it in your home compost. If your council collects food waste for composting, you can also put the sponge in the food waste bin.
