Our response to Covid-19

Parcels are being packed and posted as usual, with additional precautions as outlined below.

I wanted to personally update you on what we are doing at The Kind Store to ensure your orders still get to you during the pandemic we are currently facing in accordance with the latest government advice and restrictions.

Please note, myself and my partner Jason are the only people handling all deliveries, products, parcels and postage and working in isolation within our HQ.

As a small and independent business, we have the benefit of reacting quickly and being very flexible. As the founder, I am keeping up to date with the latest government restrictions and whilst some details at this stage may be vague and we cannot predict what will happen with our supply chain and delivery partner Royal Mail, we are in constant dialogue with all suppliers to ensure we can keep a good supply of toiletry essentials and get your parcels too you. Ultimately, I am personally making decisions based on the latest advice to reduce the spread of the virus for the sake of us all and to ensure the wellbeing of ourselves here at The Kind Store and you, our customers. 

Our HQ and staff

Our HQ is being cleaned daily. From 24th March, myself and my partner (we live together) are the only people physically working at The Kind Store. If we have any signs of a cold/flu, not just specifically the Covid-19 symptoms, we will immediately stop working. We are both self-isolating.

To be super transparent, I have personally been self-isolating since Thursday 13th March. I am now in full-isolation mode and will only be seeing my partner for the next three weeks at least. Since 24th March, Sammi is no longer packing your orders as she is staying at home in accordane with government restrictions as Sammi will instead be able to work online behind the scenes. I am lucky that our HQ is at the end of our garden so we do not need to leave my home at all.


At the time of writing, whilst Royal Mail are still operating, your deliveries will be packed and posted as usual. If you select 48 hours, you order will arrive in 2-3 days. If you select 24 hours, your order will arrive in 1-2 days. Please note we only post orders on weekdays. Royal Mail will leave your parcel on your doorstep to avoid contact by default.

We do have to take your parcels to our local village post office however we are lucky in that we don't have to queue and simply leave your parcels with the correct paperwork in our mail sacks in a specified location as part of our business service. Our local post office is already limiting the number of customers within the store.

Deliveries to our HQ are left without contact.

We will update our response if there are any changes to our delivery and supply chains.

I'd rather not add much much noise around the virus as there are already plenty of channels doing that so we will otherwise be remaining positive on our social channels and will continue to share our behind the scenes videos on Instagram stories. We have lots of diy cleaning and skincare recipes coming your way, there's already some on our blog! Plus we are launching a new IGTV series called Kind Conversations very soon which we have had planned for some months now but are bringing forward to help keep us connected during self-isolation!
