Our response to Covid-19
Parcels are being packed and posted as usual, with additional precautions as outlined below.
I wanted to personally update you on what we are doing at The Kind Store to ensure your orders still get to you as we hopefully come out of the worst of the pandemic in accordance with the latest government advice and restrictions. I want to thank every customer who has purchased during lockdown and enabled us to continue supplying sustainable essentials throughout the UK.
Please note, parcels are being packed and fulfilled in the usual timescale and you should not notice any difference to fulfilment by The Kind Store. However, we are aware that Royal Mail are overloaded during this time and in some circumstances (not the majority), parcels are taking an extra day or so to get to you. If you have a late parcel, please email email@example.com.
As a small and independent business, we have the benefit of reacting quickly and being very flexible. We switched to myself and my partner packing and posting parcels from 24th March whilst Sammi worked remotely behind the scenes. I am however pleased to report that Sammi is now back in person and packing parcels meaning we are keeping on top of order volumes, which have increased dramatically since March! Sammi is working on her own in the HQ and the HQ is cleaned at the end of every shift. Myself and Sammi work from the HQ on alternate days.
If we have any signs of a cold/flu, not just specifically the Covid-19 symptoms, we will immediately stop working, entering the HW or handling any Kind Store parcels either coming in or going out.
Royal Mail are still operating and your orders will be packed and posted as usual. If you select 48 hours, you order will arrive in 2-3 days from posting. If you select 24 hours, your order will arrive in 1-2 days from posting. Please note we only post orders on weekdays. Royal Mail will leave your parcel on your doorstep to avoid contact by default.
We do have to take your parcels to our local village post office however we are lucky in that we don't have to queue and simply leave your parcels with the correct paperwork in our mail sacks in a specified location as part of our business service. Our local post office has limited the number of customers within the store.
Deliveries to our HQ are left without contact.
We will update our response if there are any changes to our delivery and supply chains.
