A hard dish washing brush with stiff tampico bristles ideal for pots and pans. My favourite alternative to plastic handle and nylon bristle dish washing brushes meaning no micro-fibres down the plug hole. The brush head is also replaceable and you can purchase the heads individually here.
- Untreated beechwood.
- Tampico fibre.
- Available in 4cm and 5cm dia. heads
- Handle 20cm long
- Allow the brush to dry completely in between uses.
- To change the head, pull on the handle and hold the head. The U-shaped clip will slide out. Replace the head by sliding back into the U-shaped clip with a little force and you will feel it clip/lock into place.
Please note, the handle will fit both 4cm and 5cm heads so i.e. if you buy a 5cm dish brush now, you can buy either size replacement heads in the future.
All Redecker brushes are FSC certified. The FSC label is granted to wooden products that come from responsibly managed forests or plantations – certified in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council. Tampico fibre or Mexican fibre is the yellow leaf fibre of the agave cactus, which grows only in the highlands of northern Mexico, giving Mexico a natural monopoly on the material. Following final dressing the fibre has a length of 300–500 mm and is traded as Tampico fibre, named after the port of Tampico. Nature has created a very robust fibre, resistant to acid and alkaline solutions and to heat. Good elasticity and optimum water absorption make the fibre suitable for many applications, including household brushes and robust massage and nail brushes. No plastic bristles left floating in the oceans for millennia.
